Haven't posted any new images in a while, kind of busy through the summer. Wanted to share these images we did of Laura & Brian the other day. We were fortunate enough that Laura & Brian chose us to do their wedding photography, so when she called to tell us they were pregnant & wanted maternity shots, we were thrilled. This is their first baby & we wish the new family the best!

Here are some recent family photos I did of my son & his family. Although they didn't bring proper clothing for the day (as recommended by your's truly), I still thought we managed to get some loving shots. I love the one of Briley (my grand daughter) holding up her hands as if to say "whatta ya want from me papaw?" The black & white one was shot in the new bay window we added to the shop. Somerset KY Photography -Studio Renovation - Almost There!!

We've been hard at work this winter renovating the studio to be able to serve you even better! We've added some extra shooting room, a bay window for some natural lighting, some additional reception area, a new framing area so we can expand our framing services & a new look to the storefront as well! We need to put down a little baseboard & a few more finishing touches, then we will be ready to move some new props we have into the new shooting area. After that, all that will be missing is YOU!! We really appreciate all of our loyal customers & look forward to offering you something new the next time you visit. Can't wait to see all of you, hope to hear from you soon! And, oh yeah, Thanks to Bailey Meece for being our first test subject, drywall dust & all!!

I know, it's January, how can I say it's wedding season? By now, most brides have chosen most, if not all, their vendors! We sometimes book weddings up to 1-1/2 years in advance. If you're SURE you getting married & have a specific date, you should start contacting vendors immediately! Although we have booked several weddings already for this year, there are still dates available, call us for details on your date! Also, we will be happy to sit down with you & show you what we can do for you. Remember, on top of our photography, we offer video services, tuxedo rentals & Bridal invitations. All of which we discount when we do the photography.

You may be right...I may be crazy Yep, it's official, no one reads or comments on these blogs. I can post whatever I want on here, almost like a secret diary I suppose. So, I assume I could easily post on here a that I was offering a Valentine's Photo Special which included 2- 8x10, 2- 5x7 & 8 wallets for only $49.95 with FREE session fee (a $85. value) & I wouldn't even have to worry about loosing money cause no one would see it to take me up on it, right??!! No, I'm not singing the famous Pink Floyd song. Actually, just pondering.. see I'm told this social networking thing is all the rave, if you're in business, you gotta do it, right??....this is where all the new clients are & the new way to spread the word about what you have to offer.....okay, I'll buy that....but.....I've been photographing the most awesome people in Pulaski Co. for 30 years now & didn't have anything but a smile, a hand shake & hopefully a quality product to offer them. Those seemed to work pretty well for me and believe me, I thank each & every one of you who have had a part in growing my business over the years. I DO truly appreciate you all.

Nonetheless, I am always trying to stay current with the trends associated with my profession so I do the Face Book, the Twitter, the blog, etc. cause I'm still young at heart, right? But ya know, it's seems to me if we have time for too much of this stuff, we're not actually doing what we're advertising... TAKING GREAT PHOTOGRAPHS!!

So, I'm asking you, do we need this blog? Does anybody even read it?? I have all of 1 faithful but "anonymous" follower!! Thanks anonymous, it's not all been in vain!!

So, Here's a test.. What do you want to see on this blog..more photos...more info...photos of my grand baby!! (I can do that!)....maybe some photography tips....or would you prefer it just disappear altogether???

Okay, so my last blog pst was wishing you a Happy New Year for 2010!! One a year is enough, yeah? I just don't see how anyone can keep up with their business, facebook, twitter, blog, emails, phone calls....I guess I am just not as good at this social networking thing as some!

Well here we go! A new decade in the 20th century!! Seems like just a short while ago no one could believe it was the year 2000, you know, that Y2K thing, when the world was gonna end, or at best fall into chaos!! Now it's already 10 years later!!
